The built-in list is close to the official one, but not the same. If you have the official list (NWL2023, or Collins Scrabble Words), load it as a text file with one word per line. It stays in this browser.

How to play

Drag tiles from your rack onto the board, or tap a tile and then a square.
Or click a square and type. Click it again to switch between across and down. Backspace takes back a letter.
Tap a tile you’ve placed to take it back. Drag tiles along the rack to rearrange them.
Double-tap or double-click the board to zoom in there. Drag the board to move around, and double-tap again to zoom out.
The first word covers the centre star. After that, every word joins onto tiles already down.
TW triples a word, DW doubles it, TL and DL triple or double a letter. Using all seven tiles scores 50 extra.
A blank can be any letter and scores nothing.
Enter plays and Esc takes your tiles back.
